Exception thrown "no target-properties"

I received the following log, when running

• run-training.sh with surrogate-hardness.mll (build svr-hardness1.pson) - runs error-free
• run-search-with-surrogate configuration/plain-optimisation.ol configuration/surrogate-hardness.mll input/svr-hardness1.pson input/dataHardness1.arff output/ . - throws target-properties exception (see logRun.txt)

You either have to specify a target file or a target in the configuration of the distance fitness.

The target file is only relevant in the evaluation case.

Where should I put a target file and where in the arguments do I include it?

Commit f7f8fe9b fixed the actual problem. The fitness statistics writer used the target of the optimisation run to determine the columns to write. This dependenxy led to an ordering issue between the instantiation of the distance fitness and the statistics writer. In your case, the writer was created first; therefore, the target was not set so far, leading to the NPE in CDI. We now use the optimization-function-output, which can be calculated earlier in the process and is, therefore, safe to use.
